Celebrate an American tradition while supporting a national historic landmark. Join us Saturday, May 2, 2009 at The Hartford Golf Club at 4:30pm for the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby aired live from Churchill Downs. You will also enjoy hors-d'oeuvres, cocktails, dinner, live music and a silent auction. Dress in your Derby best as prizes will be awarded for most spirited attire and mint juleps will of course be on the menu!
WTIC radio personality and voice fo the UConn Huskies Joe D'Ambrosio and WFSB Channel 3 news anchor Jessica Schneider will be this year's emcees. All proceeds support Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation's mission to preserve, protect and promote in perpetuity the art, culture, history and natural beauty of Hartford's nationally-recognized Cedar Hill Cemetery.
